Today, I stumbled upon this news clip from Dec. 2016, when my news director had me put together a recap of the year’s biggest Yuma headlines.

Watching it brought back so many memories and the connection I feel to the Yuma community. I was there for a year but time seemed to fly by. I loved the work, the people and their stories. Thank you Yuma for letting me into your heart.

This special piece aired on November 24, 2016. It takes an in-depth look at the arrival of thousands of Haitian migrants along the Southwest border, primarily at the Ports of Entry in Mexicali and Tijuana. The trend started during the summer of 2016.

This is the latest take of the events calendar for “In the District” which I’ve been reading as a one-take live shot 🙂

I became aware of Circle the City late last year. A respite center for the homeless may not seem that critical, but the realization that only one such program exists in a city with an estimated 17,500 homeless residing in it, was a sobering thought. This documentary exists to provide insight in to this facility, the wonderful people who dedicate their lives to providing a peaceful place of healing to those less fortunate, and to those who have seen better days, and will again.
